a quick to make chocolate sponge cake
This is a quick to prepare cake which can be made from start to finish in under an hour. This is one of my first attempts at this cake. I also read that instead of chocolate you could try green tea!
Ingredients
- Self raising flour 120g
- Baking Powder 4g
- Honey 80g
- Oil 100cc
- Egg 2
- 1tbs of Cocoa
- 1tbs of Sugar
- 1tbs of hot water
Method
- Mix the self raising flour, honey, oil and eggs well.
- Put the cocoa, sugar and hot water into a bowl and mix well. Add a third of the cake mixture and mix well. (now you have a plain filling and cocoa filing)
- Add the plain and cocoa filling into a cake tin.
- Bake for 40minutes 170 C.
