Mulled Wine Recipe

Mulled Wine

Total time: less than 15 minutes
Difficulty: Requires a certain dexterity


Chef's Note

If you wish to pour hot liquid into a glass, first place a spoon in the glass and pour the liquid onto the spoon to prevent the container from cracking.


Ingredients

- 1 bottle of red wine
- 120 ml (1/2 cup) water
- 4 tbsp. brandy
- 8 cloves
- A pinch of ginger
- A pinch of cinnamon
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 orange, sliced
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar


Method
  1. Place all the ingredients into a saucepan; heat over low heat, but do not boil - otherwise the alcohol will evaporate.
  2. Pour into mulled wine cups or deep glasses and serve immediately.
