Hot Cider with Rum

Tip

To pour a hot liquid into a glass, first place a spoon in the glass then pour the liquid over the spoon in order to prevent the glass from cracking.


Ingredients


- 250-500 ml (1-2 cups) hot cider
- 1 measure white or amber rum
- 4 cloves
- 2 thin slices of lemon


Method
  1. Heat the cider in a saucepan or in the microwave without boiling;
  2. stick the cloves into the lemon slices; place in a pottery mug or deep glass;
  3. pour in the hot cider and serve immediately.
